The Nukewood story stays true to the ideal… hard work pays off
Considered to be one of the most diligent and passionate DJ’s from peers and punters alike, Matt has transformed over the last 7 years into one of the most respected, accomplished and in demand DJ’s on the Australian circuit. Within a short amount of time Nukewood has risen from promising young gun to Australia’s top tier of electronic talent.
You don’t have to just take our word for it, the accolades speak for themselves with Nukewood earning himself a phenomenal #4 National and #2 NSW ranking in this year’s annual In The Mix Awards, and a regular staple of the Sydney festival circuit performing at Stereosonic, Good Vibrations, Parklife, Future Music Festival, Summafieldayze, Field Day Global Gathering, Space, Creamfields and more.
Staying true to his labour of love Matt can call city venues such as Soho, Marquee & The Ivy home, while also holding down residencies at suburban venues Mean Fiddler, Roxy, The Ranch and King Street Hotel. Matt regularly headlines an array of interstate venues such as Family in Brisbane, Red Square in Adelaide, Attic in Cairns and Billboards in Melbourne and has even dropt past Es paradis in Ibiza, Sky Garden in Bali and Famous in Thailand.
With his feet firmly planted in realms of house music, Nukewood fly’s the house flag high effortlessly moving between big room driving basslines, relentless grooves, melodic overtones, and a good splash of electro all rolled into one seamless show. His knowledge and scope as a true house music enthusiast makes him genuinely one of the nations premium selectors within this sound.
Matt to date has kept company with some of the world’s finest, supporting the likes of Deep Dish, Swedish House Mafia, Deadmau5, Skrillex, Tiesto, Alesso, Avicii, Laidback Luke, Afrojack, Fedde Le Grande, Ferry Corsten, Carl Cox, Felix Da Housecat, The Chemical Brothers, Sven Vath, Roger Sanchez, Erick Morillo, Tocadisco, David Guetta, Kaskade, Basement Jaxx & Derrek Carter.
When not performing solo, Nukewood also makes up one half of Night Dimension with good mate Implex. Night Dimension have hit the ground running with remixes for a host of solid Australian labels & artists, in particular their remix for Vicious Recordings of Crazy Motherfuckers which dominated the ARIA Club Charts.
With young, talented and established artists like Nukewood leading the charge, it is safe to say that the future of solid house music is in safe hands

Originally starting out his career as a one-man speed metal band in the late-1930s, Sydney’s own pocket rocket Kyro, has been slowly making his mark on the Australian dance music scene. Like, literally… He actually keeps marking his territory everywhere he goes, it’s kinda nasty. Apart from this slightly insignificant bladder problem, Kyro has also caught the attention of DJs across the globe with his powerful electro house originals and remixes.
His production style is armed to the teeth, influencing a broad range of styles from rave, electro house, trap, bounce, twerk and also this new genre I just made up called mid-tempo future jazz. His debut EP Space Cowboy was swiftly signed to Onelove Recordings in 2014 and received huge amounts of praise from DJs all over Australia. His Fortuna collaboration with Chris Arnott skyrocketed to #12 on ARIA’s Club charts and immediately gained international support from Marvin Garrix, Afrojake, David Guerra, Craig VonStroke and 3 other fake names I’ve made up.
His Australia wide ‘Kyro Tour’ in mid-2014 cemented his worth, playing hugely successful sold out shows, subsequently earning him enough frequent flyer miles to treat himself to a new winter snuggie. Kyro’s also had the privilege of playing at some of Australia’s biggest festivals… etc etc yada yada are you still reading this? Wow. Congrats you made it to the end but there’s no deleted scenes or funny outtakes, sorry.
Long story short, Kyro's a legend. Get around him.
