LSD ON CIA
Even though they won’t consider themselves "punk”, it’s their "in your face” attitude combined with their own flair for creative rock compositions which make LSD on CIA out of Copenhagen, Denmark one the most interesting musical acquaintances in their home country. With an impressive and extrovert vocal performance - full of both sensitivity and anarchy - while at the same time presenting everything from melodic guitar melodies to apocalyptic destruction of his Telecaster, guitarist and lead singer, Mikkel Konyher, serve as the trio’s centre of attention. He is flanked by the aggressive yet sophisticated drums and bass parts by Troels Dankert and Piotr Fronek, and together LSD on CIA seek to confront the norms and tradition in 21st century rock music. No means are sacred which the trio seems to be well aware of.
The nihilistic approach alongside their highly energetic stage presence has made LSD on CIA one of the most interesting and praised upcoming live acts - not just in Denmark, but in all of Europe. This has earned them a second place in the international competition, Emergenza, as well as gigs at Sziget Festival and Rock For People which are among some of the largest festivals in Europe - even on the back of a van driving through the streets of London has acted as a stage for the trio. Furthermore the Danish artist, Kristian von Hornsleth, has become fond of LSD on CIA and thus made them his personal "house orchestra” as well as granted them a central role in his award-winning theatre performance, "Udslet Hornsleth” ("Destroy Hornsleth”)
