TORPEDO BOYZ
"Nach dreijähriger Pause werden die legendären TORPEDO BOYZ 2015 zurückkehren. Das Japanisch/Deutsche Kollektiv sorgte schon von Kasachstan bis L.A, von Peking bis Tokio mit ihrer Mischung aus Breakbeat, funky Electro, Leftfield, 60s Pop und 70er Jahre Filmmusik für Furore. Quasi die besten Musiken der Welt, allerdings gleichzeitig gespielt. Legenden wie Bobby Hebb („Sunny“) oder Davey Woodward (Brilliant Corners/Experimental Pop Band) ließen es sich nicht nehmen mit den Torpedo Boyz zusammen zu arbeiten Im Mai erscheint ihre neue Single. Textlich geht es um einen Sandwich (auf spanisch).Der Sound: Als wenn Monty Python auf einer Blockparty in der Bronx ca. 1978 spielen würden. Hammer! Im Juni wird das dynamische Quintett um den Hummeslbüttler Space Kelly ein paar wenige Clubshows spielen."

LOOP RIDER
Loop Rider is the newest project from the American musician and artist Carl Smith. Having grown up in Santa fe New Mexico, Smith moved to Berlin Germany after completing his degree in fine art at Cooper Union in New York and has resided there ever since. Loop Rider uses a drum machine, loop pedal, vocal processor, and effects that allow a normal electric guitar to sound like a bass, a synthesizer, even an electronic arpeggiator. Smith recently started recording and performing with a live drummer playing on an E-drum kit and will be releasing a five song Ep later in 2014. As far as the style is concerned... its a mash up of Dance, Indie, Reggae, and Brit-pop. Think: The Clash, Gorillas, The Rapture, Blondie, The Police, and then just throw some dirty Berlin electronic shit in there and you'll get the picture.
The songs are all written before but certain parts are built up on the spot during each live performance. Because of the nature of live looping and improvisation, each Loop Rider set ends up sounding really different. With video projections to accompany the performance supplied by Ryan O'Shea and Smith's exuberant onstage antics, Loop Rider is consistently quite a spectacle
