Born in Xalapa, Mexico and now residing in Paris, Rebolledo’s career has taken off in one straight ascending line. Beginning as the resident DJ of the legendary “La Santanera” club in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Then becoming a leading figure of Matias Aguayo’s Comeme label. Then Joining forces with Superpitcher to form Pachanga Boys. As one of the top figures in Kompakt Records and now as curator of Mayan Warrior in Burning Man; Rebolledo is one name you will not be likely to forget soon.

As a Producer his Caveman Disco style (Cit. Matias Aguayo) is made of spontaneous creativity, direct irony and a playfulness that drives a single arrow through the heart. As a DJ Mauricio Rebolledo knows three key things: How to patiently tease out the drama of each track as it comes in, how to use space rather than simply filling it, and how to bring such eclectic material with an unifying aesthetic. Such control makes the difference between merely putting some music together, and creating a moment that is definitely yours – between playing tracks and remaking them in your own vision. He has developed his very own style of playing, mixing old, new and oddball dance tunes, driven by the persistent groove of disco.
