Saturday the 10th October is going to be a huge night in Cairns for all House music lovers........introducing LITTLE DISCO to the SugarHut on Lake Street!

We are committed to bringing you nothing but the best in House, Jackin' House, Tech House and Techno all night long with a string of international DJs for whom good music is a way of life.

Expect relentless underground Tech House from the resident SugarHut favourite Janic; a Jackin' House explosion from the North East club scene veteran Barry Techno and a huge live performance from the Cairns House music specialist and radio broadcaster DJ Chooky!

We are open from 9pm until 3am with VIP benefits available to groups who get in contact in advance. Bring along a flyer for a free bar gift on entry, only $5 cover on the door all night.

DJ Chooky
If there was a list of 'to-dos' DJ's had to complete Chooky's would have ticks all over it! After being seduced into DJ'ing in the break-dance frenzy of the late Eighties, Chooky has been on the DJ roller-coaster ride ever since, putting his hand to everything from club nights to festivals.
Chooky currently hosts weekly internet shows for UK based house music station, Reelhouse TV (www.reelhouseTV.com) Sundays from 8 PM to 11 PM (EST) (11 AM to 2 PM standard UK time) and Wednesday nights from 7 PM to 9 PM (EST) playing mostly Australian house productions to a Global audience.
From club residencies to radio shows, co-ordinating, promoting and producing everything from hip-hop and dance parties through to festival dance marquee's, as well as producing and remixing his own take on dance music, Chooky has been empowering the local dance scene for over 25 years!
His musical base is deep & funky old-school house and broken beats with powerful bass lines, a hint of nostalgia and grating of mild cheese, but sets can stray anywhere from chill-out, nu-disco or Aussie hip-hop to Moombahton, dubstep or drum'n'bass in the process.
He has been playing local nightclubs, bars and dance parties since the early 90’s with a passion which has endured and evolved over the years.
For someone who hasn't strayed from his home town of Cairns, Chooky has managed to play along-side a pretty impressive list of A-list DJ's over the past decade, including internationals Roger Sanchez, Krafty Kuts, Dave Seaman, Axwell, Chris Fortier, Serge Santiago, Supafly Inc., Tocadisco, Carl Kennedy, Fort Knox 5, Superstyle Deluxe, Freq Nasty, Bodyrox, Hyper, Blim, Cut La Roc, Sharkey, Dave Lee (Slinky), Kai Tracid, Uberdruck and Kaylab as well as Aussie DJ’s Kid Kenobi, Phil K, John Course, Mr. Timothy, Grant Smillie, Ivan Gough, Jono Fernandez, Dirty South, Andy J, Christian Luke, Frazer Adnam, Dave Winnel, Mynx, Andy Van, Archie, John Ferris, Peewee Ferris, Matt Kitshon, Mark Dynamix, Danny Bonnici, Matt Nuggent, Ken Cloud, Nick Fish, Declan lee, Jen-E, Thief, Goodwill, Tim McGee, Alex Taylor, Bexta, Sean Quinn, Odyssey, Aniki, Dexter and many more.

Barry Techno
Barry Techno (or Jak Wilson to his mum!) waves the flag for Doncaster, Yorkshire and is certainly no stranger to the club scene! At the age of 15 he was hosting illegal boat parties on the River Don and by 16 was producing his very own sounds ranging from bouncy House and Hardcore to more recently Jackin' House and Techno. His infectious style was noticed by the two main clubs in Doncaster The Priory and Social Bar where he held residencies for 4years which saw him warm up for Judge Jules, Hannah Wants, DJ Caspa, DJ Zinc, Ill Phil and Chris Lorenzo.

Janic
From Perth WA; Janic has been behind the decks since the age of 17 hosting events and sharing his love of House all over Australia. His DJing career took off when he moved to the European party haven of Croatia to take up residencies at the Red Carpet in Split and Hula Hula bar in Hvar. He then went on to host the famous Pukka Up boat parties in Ibiza before returning to Australian soil for the beautiful tropics of Cairns. He’s currently the resident House and Techno DJ at the SugarHut providing fresh and pumping House guaranteed to get you on the dance floor.

Dale Cooper
Dale is a London Deep House & Tech DJ who provides a distinct dark and thumping underground sound. Currently a weekend resident at the SugarHut Cairns, he has been part of the London electronic music scene since 2012 with residencies at Deco, London and Cafe 1001’s day parties on the infamous Brick Lane in Shoreditch. Since leaving the UK in April 2015 Dale has continued to share his talent with various House and Techno events throughout Asia most recently in Kuta, Bali and on the party island Gili T.
