Comedy Casting Masterclass with Casting Director Nicky Bligh

£20 or £35 for a pass to both masterclasses.
In this practical workshop Casting Director Nicky Bligh will share her wealth of experience having worked on some of the UK’s most popular television comedy shows.
Prior to the workshop Nicky will send out a selection of scenes for members to prepare.
Following a brief introduction about Nicky and her role as Casting Director, each actor (either on their own or in pairs) will then read their scene. Nicky will provide feedback, offering ideas and insight, before offering the opportunity to read again.
She will offer the opportunity to answer any questions you may have about our industry including, but not limited to, the casting process, show-reels, contacting Casting Directors and how to give yourself the best opportunity at the audition.
Nicky is an experienced Casting Director with over 10 years experience, and has worked on many successful comedies across numerous channels including the BBC, SKY, Channel 4. She has worked with many top production companies, Tiger Aspect, Hat Trick, Universal Films, the BBC and some of the UK's best comedy talent including Rebecca Front, Julia Davis, Jack Whitehall, Jeremy Dyson, Sharon Horgan and many more.
Recent credits include, Mrs Brown's Boys D'Movie, Bad Education (BBC), Mount Pleasant (Tiger Aspect/SKY), Bluestone 42 (BBC), Psychobitches (SKY Arts). Psychobitches was nominated for Best New Comedy Programme and Best Sketch show at the RTS and British Comedy Awards, whilst Bad Education has been nominated for Best Sitcom. Other credits include Psychoville, Crackanory, Ideal, Extras, and two new upcoming series for BBC and Channel 4.
