Party: Geisha presents Set Mo

On a European beach with the hint of a summer breeze or in the middle of a heaving, sweaty dancefloor – Set Mo’s straight-up House grooves sit comfortably in either, a testament to their quality production and dedication to their music.

After meeting at a Sydney club (where else) Set Mo, aka Nick & Stu, bonded over a mutual love of music & monochrome. That bond eventually gave us the smooth, evocative productions that we’ve come to expect from Set Mo, and that have traversed the boundary between club and commercial.

2015 has already been huge for Set Mo, with their single ‘White Dress feat. Deutsch Duke’ receiving huge support on Triple J and dance radio, as well as a phenomenal reception online all around the world with support from EARMILK, Indie Shuffle, Discobelle, Hilly Dilly + loads more. To date, ‘White Dress’ has been spun over 1 million times on Spotify, and more than 4 million spins online (and counting!). This is on the back of their well-renowned 2014 EP ‘The Crush’, which featured collaborations with Joyride and KLP.

Not ones to take their foot off the pedal, the guys are showing no signs of slowing in the tail end of 2015 having already been nominated in the inaugural Australian installment of MTV’s ‘Brand New’, which has featured artists like Sam Smith, Banks, George Ezra and Haim in international versions.

Next up is the release of their new single ‘Chasing Forever’, a beautiful collaboration with vocalist ALPHAMAMA that harks back to the timeless house tunes that have been such a strong influence for Set Mo, while still remaining decidedly modern and fresh. On ‘Chasing Forever’, Set Mo say – “We wanted to describe the bittersweet journey when stepping out of your comfort zone and taking the risk of pursuing something greater than your current situation.

When we came across ALPHAMAMA we knew her neo soul style would capture the emotional struggle we were looking to portray perfectly.”
