Running the streets of New York from the late 1970’s through the 80’s, Rockaways finest, aCid5 evolved from the Hardcore Punk scene to Experimental Music. Using cassette decks and reel tapes for beats and mixing instruments with spoken word, the Five began blending their brew of noise and beats and spreading their message. The birth of Hip Hop was on the horizon, heroin and crime were rampant, the crack epidemic was born and the city was a dangerous place to be. aCid5 (zouzou, chickenman, killer kalos, fishman and scrappy) were on the rise before the harsh life of the city they loved did them in one by one...
Last surviving member zouzoumamoux takes us on a journey back to old dirty New York with these almost forgotten words that are as relevant today as they were then...and the beats that inspired them...
