Over the years, the Innervisions sound has become a stable reference point, adding a continuous context and substance to DIXON’s dj sets. And in turn, his appearances at clubs and festivals provide a constant source of crowd feedback to help finely adjust the label’s musical course. Dixon’s performances and the label’s releases share a number of recognisable values: an emphasis on rigorous selection, attention to detail and enduring quality. But also a preference for emotion over function. In both a musical and visual sense, Dixon is not averse to using bold colours and theatrical flourishes. No wonder his selection skills have also been called upon by the fashion industry (and following his taste in shirts has become a side hobby of dance music aficionados...). Dixon has always maintained the importance of delivering an authentic message. This striving for a unique identity has driven an obsession with making personal edits, tweaking tracks until they fit just right. Sometimes it means striking the right balance between educating and entertaining the crowd. But mostly it involves staying open to new ideas, following the urge to explore and trusting the same instincts that were formed in the very first years of his career. Originally from Bari, Italy, Fedele Ladisa is part of the emerging wave of DJ producers which are eager to explore new territories of electronic music and one of the three minds behind the already acclaimed Italian outfit Agents of time.

Since his youth, when he learned how to play with instruments such as piano and violin, music has always been his passion. In 2006, he entered the universe of DJing and started performing in different clubs around Italy. With Hip Hop, R’N’B, Soul and Nu-Disco music as initial backgrounds, he soon developed an ever-growing and free-spirited interest in House and Techno’s unpredictable variety of soundscapes. His penchant for electronic music led him to master the universe of synthesizer techniques and drum machines and to start creating his own productions.

Following an enthusiastic debut on the American label Undulate, he further enriched his ongoing solo career with the creation of the ambitious project Agents of Time. A new journey, which led him to perform at internationally recognised festivals as well as in famous clubs around the globe and to receive massive support from the likes of Tale of Us, Dixon, Tiga, Agoria, John Digweed, Stephan Bodzin and Miss Kittin.

Driven by a devotion for the underground pioneers and a yearning for forward-thinking sounds, Fedele’s own DJ sets herald a stream of compelling and emotive beats and textures, always irrespective of the preconceived mainstream inclinations.

RAW DISTRICT is the fledgling house project from Belgian duo Vernon Bara and Massimo DaCosta. No newcomers to dance music, under the Vernon&DaCosta, the pair have released music on labels such as OM Records, AMA Rec, Robsoul, Aroma, OFF, Icon, Doubledown and many more. They have remixed artists including Brett Johnson, Fred Everything, Style of Eye, Miguel Migs and JT Donaldson, garnering support from great DJs like Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos, Jamie Jones, Mark Farina and DJ Sneak. Vernon has also made more techno-focussed tracks for Hot Creation and Supplement Facts under another moniker, Ultrasone alongside Igor Vicente. Early in 2013, they decided to start the new side project as ‘Raw District’ in order to focus on the deeper and darker side of house music. In their own words, “Raw District tracks feature fewer samples and more organic influences…the trademark soul, funk and disco influences are still evident, mixed up with the fresh European sounds coming straight out of Berlin.” With a few releases on some of the most established labels such Crosstown Rebels, Souvenir Music or Defected they undoubtedly secured themselves as in-demand and talented producers. www.facebook.com/rawdistrict/
