February’s Tuna Park promises and delivers. Techno can do a lot, if you let it do so. That is Alex Bau‘s credo, and inspired the name of his very intelligent album “Credo”. Literally all over the electronic dance music spectrum, he started his own label “Toneman” back in 2000 and also started to his solo productions for labels like Chris Liebing`s “CLR” or the Montreal based label “Default Recordings”. Very much the chameleon, Alex Bau was voted among the 20 best national DJ`s on the poll from Germany`s leading Dancemagazine, Raveline, in 2006. Angel Costa is one of Spain’s top DJs who has always been a massive driving force in the development of Mallorca´s techno scene, and is regularly hosting nights at the “Gothic” and the “Modular” as well as keeping busy with his own label his own label REZ. Madrid DJ Dinamite’s skill on the decks and her musical direction require her sets to be listened to until the end. Dinamite is characterized by her dark and forceful beats with retro touch, sets where she combines styles, dynamic and groove.

Upstairs in the +4Bar a special treat: the return of Patrick Scott aka Scott Grooves, who forged a friendship with Kevin Saunderson leading to Scott tinkling the keyboards for Inner City. After hearing a Soma (Funk D’Void) record in a Detroit record store Scott Grooves sent a demo of his album to the Soma office. Scott made his debut on Soma with the sublime “A New Day” (Soma 58). With heart-stopping chords and stunning stuttering breakbeats, the first mix takes you on a wonderful ten minute ride through rhythm and melody, Detroit style. Of Polish and Egyptian origin, Magda El Bayoumi was born in Dubai, a mix of nationalities from around the world, moving later to eastern Europe then six months in Chicago. She gathered memento in the Warsaw house & techno scene and eventually turned her focus to Berlin. Musically always open, she tends to oscillate between techno and different house sub-genres, good classic or fresh and new sound techno, house or versatile electronic productions.
