Saturday 16th Compton bay (DINOSAUR HUNT):
We're going to follow in the Dinosaur Britain teams foot steps as UKAFH take you back 125 million years to see the famous Iguanodon trackways if the tide is low enough maybe some Theropod tracks too. We will be on the look out for our every own Dinosaur bones, fish remains and fossilised wood.
Sunday 17th Thorness bay: We will be going back 33 million years to the early Oligocene period. Beds here can be highly fossiliferous. We shall be looking for reptile, mammal, fish and plants remains. This site is very muddy. Due to this, people attending with young children may only be allowed so far along the beach but there will still be loads of fossils to be found.
We will be based at thorness bay caravan park if anyone would like to stay in the same park as us.
Suitable for the whole family, just be careful of the water and mud.
